Text Box: Dates to Save March 8-International Women’s Day Potluck at 6:00 pm at Norma Castaneda’s house, 1442 Desert Willow March 11-Annual Scholars’ Reception 1:00 pm First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall honoring all high school girls with 3.5 or higher grade point. April 27-29– State Convention in Las Cruces, “100 Years of New Mexico Women”, National AAUW President Carolyn Garfein attending.

Text Box: Annual Girl-of-the Month Luncheon It is that time of year when we honor our 18 Girls-of-the-Month and their mothers/mentors. These extraordinary young women are at the top of their graduating class. We are changing the venue this year and have an excellent speaker. It is very important that we have a good representation of AAUW members there to host the event. Please plan on attending. Date: February 23 Place: Stock Exchange ( As they are not open for lunch we will have the place to ourselves. Patti Fry is very excited to cater the event for us.) Time: 11:30 am (We are asking members to be there by 11:00 am if possible.) Speaker: Sarah Sandford Broderick Cost: $16 for each adult ( We pay for the girls.)
