CARD! Our Church Council has approved a new remodeling
project for the sanctuary which will cost $900,000. We would like
for every member to participate if possible at any level (even
$200 pledged for three years is something that some of our youth
could do). Of course this commitment is over and above our regular
offering to the Lord's work through the budget. CALL THE OFFICE FOR A PLEDGE CARD
OR PRINT OUT ON-LINE CARD. The
WORSHIP CHALLENGE pledge campaign culminates in worship on
August 17.
We are praying about NEW
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS (perhaps
two to a class) for kindergarten and first grade, AND 2nd &
3rd grade. Two classes, four teachers, so they can take turns
with each other for a month (a teaching team!)
GET VERY EXCITED
ABOUT ROUND-UP SUNDAY! The
Houghtaling Family Singers will be leading us in worship on
August 24 with a selection of Gospel Bluegrass music. In the afternoon
we'll have a delicious early supper of fried fish, chicken, and
"fixings", PLUS the usual fun games on the courtyard.
(You have permission to dress like a cowboy/girl all day Sunday
and bring an old fashioned fan!). WATCH FOR SOME

Looking for an opportunity to grow in the Lord with your Christian Brothers & Sisters in 2008?
It's time to sign up for the spring edition of Friends, Food & Fellowship -- our dinner program. This is a wonderful excuse to fellowship with each other in small groups and to eat great food at the same time! The FFF groups, which will be made up of different people each month, will meet once a month from September through November. You will be responsible for hosting a meal one time and all of the others in your group that month will contribute part of the meal.
